The IND updates the required salary amounts periodically. For 2026, the applicable gross monthly salary requirements are:

• Highly skilled migrant aged 30 or over: €5,942 minimum gross monthly salary
• Highly skilled migrant under 30: €4,357 minimum gross monthly salary
• Reduced salary criterion: €3,122 minimum gross monthly salary

The amounts are calculated without holiday allowance.

The reduced salary criterion may apply in specific situations, such as certain applicants who qualify through the orientation year route or who meet the conditions for that route after graduating, obtaining a doctorate or completing qualifying research.

Step 7: Collect your residence permit
Once the residence document is ready, you can collect it from the IND.
